| *SoulEyes Photography>>>Cheap Digital Camera |
Cousin is turning 16 in less than a month and i found out she cant afford to have a party. Wannna surprise her |
She's really bummed and i know she wants to have something big and meaningful especially after that whole Sweet 16 show craze but i know she won't understand waiting two years for a 18 yr birthday celebration if she doesn't get to do SOMETHING with friends and something that is mildly big! i want to surprise her with something cheap but memorable. i have a digital camera and a few ideas but i want to get it further. Keep in mind the very limited budget. A really fun party: schedule makeovers at the beauty counter for her and a few friends. Lots to take pictures of - before & after, during, etc. some music like a DJ is important ok thatz very nice of you to do this for her invite her best friends over for a suprise party. you could either have it in your backyard or your basement or a friends house. pick a theme that she would like, theres lots of possible ones. serve her favorite foods and have a few mix cds playing throughout the night with her favorite songs. you dont even need favors for the guests, a lot of people dont do that anymore. you can invite as many people as you want, it wont be too expensive if you either make the food or order pizzas or some other inexpensive food. just make sure no one tells her I'm having my Sweet 16 in a few months as well. I'm going to invite my friends to my house to have a shaving cream war. Send an evite out to all her friends and have everyone meet you at her favorite resturant...She will think it's just you and her and will be suprised to see everyone else there- Make sure everyone else gets there earlyer that she does so she'll really be suprised-This is a great Idea because everyone pays for themselves and you still have fun! The Sweet 16 show craze really sours sweet sixteen parties everywhere. Spending several hundred thousand dollars for a party like that makes absolutely no sense to me! You are a very generous and sweet cousin to want to do this for her and I commend you for it! How about enlisting the help of her closest friends to assist you in making this a grand production??? Find out what her primary interests are, colors, and create a theme. Plan on limiting your guest list so that you can get more for your buck. If it's all girls, then plan a surprise sleepover! If its mixed, then find out if there are any clubs in your area for teens. You might want to call the local zoo and find out if they allow theme parties there and what they can offer, or some other local attraction. If worse comes to worse, have her friends come together with their ideas and their love to help her celebrate this special day...even if its a potluck and some movies at home! Set up a dinner party, candles, punch in wine glasses. nice table set-up ,you can use stuff you already have . Maybe serve pasta it is cheap and substantial. you could make spagetti- with meat sauce and a vegetarian pasta - rotini- sauce and chopped veggies. Both are very cost effective add on a salad and garlic bread or buns. Maybe you could get 1 or 2 family member to serve her and friends dinner , that would be good What a cool gift for you to throw a party. Have fun you could have a ball ( a dance or a cinderella theme)kind of a thing at the local community center, and have lots of soda and snacks good music and you are good to go, and maybe could keep her out all day by getting her nails and hair done, then you would go to the party!! good luck and she is very lucky to have such a nice cousin |
