How Big Is A 3.2 MP picture if any now's can u tell me or send a picture the size of it? |
does any one no where to buy cheap digital camers that take good pictures and another question does any one have the camera "Disney Pix Click Digital Camera" if so how big are the pictures i really need help You can try to print them out at any size, like 4X6 to blow them up to a poster (they will not look nice). On memory size taking up it is a little under 2mb per picture. I believe it's going to depend on the camera and how it processes the picture. I have a 7.1 MP camera that produces pictures in the area of 3MB in size but my new 8.1 MP camera produces pictures around 2MB, much smaller even though the number of pixels in the picture is greater. It also somewhat depends on the picture itself. More detail means bigger file size. Now if you are asking, how large of a photo can you PRINT using a 3.2MP camera, that also depends on the quality of the camera but I would say you should get decent 5X7's but I doubt much larger than that. If you do mean file size and are concerned with how much memory digital pictures will take up on your personal computer, there is a terrific program you can use to decrease your photo sizes. Google "powertoys" and you can download a software program that can decrease a photo's file size from 2 or 3 MB's to 100-150 KB's.. Okay lets start with the 3.2MP part Here's an unaltered, uncropped image from a Nikon Coolpix 885, which is a 3.1 MP camera. This is a very good camera In relation to the second component of your question about buying a cheap ditital camera, I would say that you may be better off to save up you hard-earned money and go for a well known brand or you may well be dissapointed in the long term. Spend as much as you can reasonably afford as the benefits will exceed the extra cash you are paying. Go for minimum 3X optical zoom, 4 megapixel for maximum size 8" x 10" photos, short shutter lag, and check the price of a replacement/spare Li-ion or NiMh battery if it has one. AA batteries have one advantage in that you can get them more easily if you run out of power on a trip. Also check that you can turn the flash OFF if you need to. Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Olympus and Sony are some of the good brands, but even the cheapest of these name-brand cameras are sometimes lacking in the basics. You will be happier in the long term if you spend a little more. |
