I was looking for a digital camera. i found the price difference between different sites is more than 100$.how

are those sites that sell cheaper sell poor quality or defective cams? how does this work out? i need some tips regarding choosing the cheap and best seller?

... Bulk purchase and the special discounts on Maximum Orders Quanity achieved by your seller. He may pass the benefits to its customer for more sales.
... It may be used.
... May have Minute damages called Factory defects.
... Original Cable, Sofware or accessories may not be available with cam.
... Might be Refurbished.
... After sales support may not be available.
... Warranty may not be provided.
... "No Exchage", "No refund" might be there.

some use the student discount that some camera manufacturers give and sell at that price to nonstudents. If the store is not reputable, it is possible they are selling a grey market camera or a refurbished one. Buy from a place you know and even call them to talk to them so they can answer you. Report It

Sometimes they are refurbished. Only buy from reputable companies with a well stated return policy. We had this problem with a laptop. We had a problem with it and contacted the manufacture. They said that the warranty was no longer valid since it had been in and resold. Luckily the place we bought it from exchanged it but not without a big fight.

Do not buy a reworked camera , it will be junk, sent back and sold to the next seller.

go for a cannon or nikon. I have heard kodak is making a good cameras now too.

It is very difficult to buy online. But if the supplier gives you a warranty then go for it. The main reason certain places sells stuff cheaper is of bulk buying

several reasons:
- some sites buy in greater volume and therefore get better discounts from the manufacturer.
- refurbished models
- some sell cameras that do NOT have a US warranty (those are typically a little cheaper)
- some sites have a higher profit built into their pricing
- some sites hope that people like you won't do the research required to save a little money.
