Refurbished digital camera? |
I was looking on ebay for a digital camera and came accross several that are refurbished warranties that are a considerable amount cheaper than buying a brand new one. Is this a wise investment? Or should I pay the difference and just buy new? Well, refurbished is leaving a bad taste in my mouth right now. Bought a brand new printer from brother, still under warranty, they have replaced twice now, ..............with refurbished, and both bad, now waiting on them to see whats next, and the warranty is running out in a month. The thing is, inside the warranty is states they will replace with refurbished, and you don't know this til you get home, and read, they don't replace new for new, so I am very leary about refurbished. When it comes to digital equipment, I always buy new. Especially if it's something I know I will definitely use alot. Since I take a fair amount of photos, to me it's worth the peace of mind that I have a brand new product with all the factory terms and conditions. If you're just experimenting with the item, then it doesn't matter. Refurbished digital cameras are just as good as new ones. The part which was bad is replaced with new factory parts. The factory can't sell them as new and that's why refurbished digital cameras are cheaper than new ones. |
