I'm kind of horrible when it comes to.. technological stuff. But I'm a huge myspace whore, so my digital camera is VERY important to me. :]
Currently, mine takes very short videos and, though it has sound, you can't hear it until you put it onto your computer. Also, it has this LOOOONG delay before it will take another picture! It's so annoying. I always miss the moments and have to ask for my friends to repeat their actions. It's never as good. -tear-
Basically,
I'm looking for a digital camera that records at least two minute videos, but even longer ones would be desirable, and will replay those on the camera with sound.
I'd like it to take picture instantly.. as soon as I click the little button. And.. I'd like it to look pretty. :] My price range is up to $250, though the cheaper the better.. Ha, I'd also like a Wii for my birthday.
Any help is appreciate.
Thanks in advanced, guys! <3 Canon SD1000 can be found for little more than $200 online (such as Newegg.com, Buydig.com, etc.). Canon's also typically have very good image quality for both pictures and videos. It will take videos without time limit (well, until the memory card fills up). Also nicely built, simple, good handling, and very stylish.
Also don't forget to pickup SD cards and maybe an extra battery. Sometimes Newegg.com has deals that also include free SD cards but if not it's relatively inexpensive. i would get a kodak easyshare 6.1 megapixel.they are currently $199.99 at walmart.it even comes with the printer dock.you can edit without downloading to your computer.you won't find anything better. you can look for sony cybershot 7.2 megapixel. I think this will satisfy your all need within your budget. You might want to take a look at the Canon A550 or the A560. It's a pretty good camera for cheap. It records video at high resolution for up to an hour or onto a 1GB card. I believe it playback sound as well. In my opinion its a really nice looking camera with tons of features. Even though I personally own this ultra compact camera, I would still like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:
1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
6. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
7. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
8. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera;
9. And the price is a mere $99 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com.]
