Digital camera question....is this a good camera? what are some good camera brands? |
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d... For your purposes, a point & shoot camera is fine. Spend no more than $200. The camera you're considering will probably work fine, butthere are better choices. All of the Canon, Kodak and Sony's are good. Fujitsu's aren't bad either. Not the best , But Very nice. You'll enjoy it. im not familiar with this particular camera....but i can tell you that i have a sony cybershot...and i am very happy with the quality of photos and the user friendly menus....i would recomend it This is a well known camera. It has two lens for zooming and panoramic shots. This one will last you awhile. Only thing I don't like about it is that it uses a dock to charge battery, so it gets to be slight hassle if you are going to get multiple batteries, but good if you are not. As far as brands go, my favorite is Canon. This one looks pretty good, although I am partial to Sony. Can't beat the price though. Check this out: Hey,I would recommend you to get canon as you will never go wrong with canon. It's nice to grip and it's easy to acess the menu. I don't really favor sony.no offence. I have sony myself too. It doesn't produce good quality picture in low light condition or indoor. The sensor in sony is not that good. No offence to sony users. I think Canon ixus 850i would be just nice for you =) and if you could afford canon powershot G7 then it will be great. Powershot G7 is claimed as the most compact digital camera yet. So yea, is basiclly up to you. Go to this site http://dpreview.com/ and see if that camera is reviewed. You might find other cameras in that price range there. I think Dr. Sam hit it right on the head with that website. The Kodak Easyshare V570 is a better camera than the one you're looking at with 5 megapixels. But the price range is all over the board between $200 and $300. So if you don't deal with mail orders for your best price and you go to your local store to buy, then compare the Kodaks with Canons. You might just find a Canon with 4 or 5 megapixels for no more than the Kodak you're looking at or maybe $25-$30 more. When buying a digital camera the best place to do research is actually Flickr because they show you all the pictures and usage per camera. Look here: http://www.techroam.com/need-to-buy-a-di... |
