I'm looking at the kodak easyshare z885 which has 8 mp because I've seen some great pictures that were taken from this camera. I'm looking for a camera with a fast shutter speed to capture things in motion. I also want a camera that has some type of anti-blur. First, you are one of the few people that knows what they are looking for; in terms of price and say shutter speed.
Can't find any in your price range that has image stabilization.
My ex who I keep in contact with every couple of days for past 5 yrs went against my wishes and bought a Kodak. She's very happy!
What I have against Kodak is maybe they are making a quality camera today, but for past 40 years where were they?
So I'll recommend a camera as I did my ex, and it's also by Canon. The Canon PowerShot A 630. Shutter speed is 1/2500 of a second. Has 8 megapixels, 4X optical zoom. Has manual controls if you care to use them, and takes AA rechargeable batteries.

the guide should answer your questions Vintage music's right. You can't find image stabilization at this price range. I know because I'm shopping around for one myself, and this is the main feature I'm looking for.
I ended up buying a Canon Canon PowerShot A710 IS - because I wanted a Canon (practically everyone I asked here on whether to buy a Canon or Sony recommended Canon) and image stabilization at a good price.
Aside from the image stabilization (superb), the A710 IS has 7.1 mp, 6x optical zoom (great!), 2.5" LCD Screen, 21 shooting modes, a movie mode and uses 2 AA batteries (you'd need rechargeables for faster flash recycle time). Price is $280 at Circuit City. i got an olympus fe-170..and its really good...i love it! and its like $80.. |
