I'd say to first do some research on what is a good camera to buy. I highly recommend a Canon Powershot. They come in all sorts of physical, as well as quality, sizes. I'm sure you can find one that you like, and suits your needs.

You can view all the available cameras @ Canon.com (and I think it will show you stores you can buy them from). Once you find the one you want, do a search in Google or Yahoo! of the camera title, and you can find places with low prices.

One great place you can directly go to is ShopCartUSA.com. Type in the camera title, and it will show you tons of online stores you can buy from. (This is how I came across my Canon Powershot A95!)
