Digital camera Problem not all pics clear?

I have some problems with my almost new Sony digital camera. We took about 30 pics of my friend and it seem to work pretty good. But later we wanted them to take some of us and it didn`t work good. the pics had like little stars on it or they were blured. i don`t think this had any thing to do with moving the camera to much.
What is wrong? is the window dirty? was the invironment to dark, but i don`t think so since the first work so good. I have this problem more like from time to time
Its not the cheapest camera; i think it should work better.

You probably did not let the camera focus. Hold the button half way down till a green light appears or when a chime sound goes off then push the button all the way down to take a picture. If not the pictures will come out blurry.

The 'stars' sound like typical digital camera noise. If the camera has an option to adjust the ISO speed (35mm film speed equiv.), adjust it down to 100 or 200. The blur...that comes from low light and no flash. The camera automatically slows the shutter speed. So, any movement will make the shot blurry. I recommend using a tripod and/or the timer because just the action of pushing the button will cause blur. Let me know if you'd like more help.

Set your camera to Auto.
Mount it in a tripod.
Use the timer to take pictures.
On your SHOOTING MENU:
Set Image Mode to High (3072).
Set White Balance to Auto.
Set Exp. to Zero (0).
Set your Best Shot Selector to On.
Set Color Option to Vivid Color.
Email me when you still have bad pictures.
