Regarding charity photos & TV ads of "hungry"children, why do they make them look dirty? Why not clean them?

When such pictures are taken, and, such ads are shown on TV,what's the point? Why can't these organizations & their photographers clean the kids up & make them look good? They can be poor, but, they don't need to look dirty,or,with flies always in their faces!

That is the reality of the situation, a lot of times they don't even have running water or food, or anything. Why would they "sugar coat" a serious situation for people who can't handle it?
Cause then no one would feel sad and think they need money.
That is reality. People in developing countries are lacking clean water, sanitation and food. They are living in poverty with literally nothing.

Sorry if you find it offensive or distasteful but I don't see why charities should pretend that things are better than they really are.

If you feel so strongly about it, perhaps you should donate some money or sponsor a child so you know that there is at least one person who is fed and showered.
