Should he have said it or not? Attributed to Hugh Grant in response to invasive behaviour by a photographer. And aren`t there times when the unthinkable is called for? I know when I interviewed Alfred Hitchcock back in 1972 we were talking about `Torn Curtain` and Hitch was saying how difficult it is actually to kill someone....to stick their head in an oven. I asked if the film allusion referred to Auschwitz? and Hitch said that it did. He finished off with, `And let`s see how THEY would like it`. Et tu Brute??? What do you think? good grief.... no, he shouldnt have said that, if indeed he did ... people should not be 'invasive' in peoples lives... but cursing them is not the answer.... F**k 'em It's a hard world. I think that is a horrendous thing to tell anyone. If Hugh Grant did say that, he should definitely apologise to the photographer, and the photographer only. There would be no need to make a public apology. absolutely disgusting...it doesnt matter who it was that said it, and to whom they were referring....that is the worst thing anyone could ever say I didn't know he had actually said this - but in my opinion this is one of the worst possible things you can say to someone, and I wouldn't even say it to my worst enemy. Children are so innocent, but I wouldn't even wish the disease on an adult. My husband has had cancer 3 times, and it is horrendous, the treatment makes you more poorly than the disease itself at times. So no, he should not have said it. It was uncalled for in any case. |
