Is 36 to old to pursue a full education towards a Veterinary career? |
I am a free-lance photographer. Although I went to college I never bothered to complete my associates degree. I obviously would be starting from scratch. Ten years of school..... I will probably be 46 when I become a vet. I am not married nor do I have children. At this point I don't think children are in the cards anyway..... Is this crazy?? Am I to old?? nobody is to old to something that he desires! Go for it! No way. It's never too late to start a new life, or a new take on an old one. If you want to be a vet, go for it. I've had so many people even above 40 or 50 in some of my core and night classes, it's never too late to do what you want to do! i dont think that age really matter when it comes to something like this. I am 16 and graduating high school and the whole reason i am is so i can get an education and get a job doing what i like to. i always told myself i would get a job where i wouldnt dread going to work every day and do something to make me happy, and i think that if this is somethat will make you happy GO FOR IT and good luck! every1 should persue there dreams! my own opinion Go for it. I didn't go to college until my late 30's. I graduated from Sam Houston State with a B.S. in Academic Studies and English minor. I graduated in 2000 and was 43 years old. It was great fun, stimulating, made good friends and really got alot out of it. i think waiting till you're older to go to school is great. You are there because you want to be and you end up doing your best at everything. I'll be so glad when I can get back to get my Masters. It is never to late. Oh, and you can cut off some of that 10 years by taking classes in summer school and you could also do some independent studies with a proffesor. personal experience |
