Computer help, please!? |
Okay, I am a computer challenged individual. I had some pics taken of my child, and the photographer hosts the gallery online. I have to just go to the list, click my name and then fill in username and password. I clicked the box to have the computer "remember" the info. That was two weeks ago. Long story short, we thought we were done ordering, but changed our minds and we had her rehost the gallery--which she did, under the same name, but changed the password (she provided this). Now when I click my name, a screen comes up and says wrong password of course, because it is filling in the old one. How do I get in somewhere to clear that out? I need pretty explicit instructions.....I'm really not that smart...... Internet Explorer 6 To remove a stored password or stored form data in Internet Explorer 6, follow the instructions below: From the Tools menu, select Internet Options... . Click the Content tab, and then click the AutoComplete... button. To remove stored passwords, click Clear Passwords. To clear stored data that you have entered into forms, click Clear Forms. Click OK. Source(s): Found this at http://kb.iu.edu/data/alcx.html... in firefox its just click tools > clear private data If you are using IE (internet explorer) then you need to delete your history, cookies, and any other data that may be stored in the IE temp folder. Go to http://email.about.com/od/staysecureandp... If you are using Firefox, go to http://browsers.about.com/od/firef2/ss/f... Cheers! When you are on the login form, enter the same username as before, but replace the password with the new one. Internet Explorer will recognize it has changed and ask if you want to update the password on file. Click Ok and the new one will replace the old. Go to where the old password is and delete it using the delete key. When it is empty type in the new password. TMD When it automatically fills in the password, can't you just click the password box, delete that password, and retype the new one? You might have to click sign in a couple times it to finally work.. or something... at least, I've had experiences like that. And if you're clearing passwords, cookies, etc. make sure to close your browser (IE or firefox.. whatever you have) and then re-open it after you've cleared them. |
