Ok, my question is you know how when you take a picture with a digital camera, and then you have to sit there for about 5 seconds before you can take another pic.
I want to be able to fire off about 3 or 4 in a row. Can I just by a compact flash memory card with a faster read or write time or whatever. Unfortunately, it isn't just the card that decides read/write times. The cameras' interface to the card is equally important. I bought the Sandisk Extreme III CF card because my camera supports the improved throughput.
Not knowing your camera brand or type makes it impossible to recommend a card for you. If your cameras' performance isn't affected by the card speed, buying a high end card might not be effective.. As Bob says, card speed is only one factor.
Start by turning off your monitor. If the camera only needs to write to the card and not the monitor, it will be a faster process.
If your camera has a "sport" mode, this will also work faster.
If you have "continuous shooting," use that and just bang of 3 or 4 frames instead of 15-20. |
