Buying a digital camera on a budget.?

Ok so i'm going to be on a trip to the mountains for 7 weeks and am looking to buy a digital camera so I can take tons of pictures. What i'm looking for is a camera that takes good moving, and outdoor shots, a easy to use interface, compact size, decent zoom and mega pixels, also a point and shoot all on a budget of 200$. Please give me some advice on what to buy! Thanks in advance.

The best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550

You need to check out Ebay, they have BRAND NEW camera's on there and they're cheap (as in $$ wise, not in working order) ... you could probably get 2 or 3 for that much money. Happy Hunting !!

Many digital cameras will suit you needs, also remember to allow for photo storage when purchasing unless you have a means to download the photos frequently.
Check out the Canon PowerShot A620

Do a Google search on the GE A730, and the GE A830. They are brand new and look like they will be good cameras. I can't give you my opinion about the A730 since I just bought one and haven't had time to use it yet.

I would like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:

1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
6. And the price is a mere $120 [sold at Samy's Camera, Staples.com.]
