Help Me with A Digital Camera?

Can any 1 Suggest me a Digital Camera with Really Good Specifications and a Compact Model.
My Budget is around 18000-25000 Rupees .

and What is the difference between a 8 and a 10 Mega pixel.

I don't know what a Rupees are, but between $180 - $250, my HIGHLY suggestion would be Canon SD1000. Its perfect! its all you need. Even if you don't get SD1000, at least get a Canon. Canon is the best, can't go wrong.

Hey, there is no need to spend that much money....all you need is a Canon A430. It is just INR 8500 and is more than enough for home purpose use.

Anything Kodak EasyShare is easy to use and takes nice and clear pictures AND its not as pricey as the Canon like others are suggesting

They review all kinds of electronics. In "digital cameras" you can search by megapixels, by price, or by "editors' choice" where you will find the ones they recommend. Your budget is enough to get a compact DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera, which will generally have more features and take better pictures than a very compact, fits in your shirt pocket model.

The number of megapixels is less important for final image quality than other factors -- most importantly the size of the imaging sensor (bigger cameras = bigger sensors = better image) and the quality of the sensor, lens, and camera operating system.

In my opinion, Canon does rule the field right now. Canon PowerShot G7 is great. But other cameras to consider in your price range include DLSRs like the Pentax K100D.
