Teen looking for a good digital camera...?

I wanted to find a good digital camera that is compact and takes good pictures. I had a really sleek one before, but the pictures were awful, thoguht the camera itself was a good design. I really want something that is thin, and also has a good storage capacity, and takes crisp, clear, photos. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be FANTASTIC! Also..this is not at all necessary, but if there are any cameras that come in nice colors, that would be great!

The Sony W55 comes in pink and is reasonably priced at $200 and cute.
All cameras have a good storage capacity... once you buy a 1G memory card- or larger if you like to take videos.

This is just a suggestion but you could get the pink Breast Cancer camera

I suggest that you shut off your computer and take a trip to a well stocked and reliable camera store (like Ritz camera or B&H Photo) where you can physically handle the cameras and ask the sales people all of your questions. You can bring your own memory card and take pics from the cameras that interested you and compare them on your home computer. To a photographer nothing beats the experience of being in a real camera store checkin' out the hardware! Good luck friend.

Try Casio cameras. The resolution's good and it comes in many colours. Price is relatively reasonable, if you're planning to use it for the next 3 years or so. If you're planning to change your camera frequently, Casio camera's are not advisable.

Definitely go to a camera store and handle the cameras. They will give you a lot of expert advise, too. Target will let you purchase the cameras and try them for 30 days. (Be sure to keep ALL the papers, box, receipt etc) Wolf Camera offers free lessons with the camera purchases although you will end up paying a little more for your camera from them. For me, it's worth the extra to be able to learn all that my new camera will do without the frustration of trying to figure it out for myself. I spend a little more than I intended to spend, but when I saw what the Panasonic Luminx DMC-TZ3 with 7.2 Mega Pixel and 10 optical zoom will do, I was sold on it. PC Magazine puts it right next to the SLR cameras. It does a great job of zooming in for those close up shots. Put the color aside. It has nothing to do with what kind of pictures you will get!
