Can anyone reccommend a good compact digital camera under 拢200?

I've always owned Canon digital cameras and refuse to buy any other brand. The color and photo quality is so much better than any of the other brands available. I currently own a Powershot A95 - I don't believe this model is in production anymore. A comperable camera would be the A540. This should be well under your budget. If you are looking for a better quality try the A630 - this should be closer to the price range you were looking.

i got one for xmas and its awsome. only drawback is it only comes with 32meg memory so if you want to store a lot of photos or videos you wil have to by a sdram card.
it has excellent digital zoom, 8 meg pixels, records excellent video in quicktime format, has fancy digital processing features that makes your photos look great even in bad light. has a mic, speakers for playback etc - around 拢180

I bought a 7 million pixel camera from Curry's takes great pictures plenty of extras on it and it was less than 拢70 check there website out.

my brother has a fuji and it is working very well.
i don't recommend a kodak camera because we have had 3 and they have all gotten messed up and they loose battery very easily even if you replace them. if you want your moneys worth... i suggest a canon. if you have any questions.. feel free to e-mail me. my brother and my cousin are photographers.

The fuji finepix f30 it's easy to use quick with good results. look at clifton cameras .co.uk .拢170 for camera, case and 2 256 memory cards. Hope this hekps ps 6 million pixels

yes the sony ericsson k800i mobile phone it has a 3.2 megapixel camera as well as a music player. i take all my photos with this and download them onto my computer via bluetooth,and being a mobile it is always in my pocket

After having to put my Nikon 5900 in for repair twice in 8 months And about to go on holiday again I bought a Ricoh CAplioR5
It has the most features of a digital compact of this price I have ever owned ( 4 so far)

Jessops have it on special for 拢200.00 but this camera should last many years.
It comes witha 2 year guarantee which is a year longer than most other manufacturers

It has 7 million pixels, but the number of features on it way surpass anything else I have owned.

7 X OPTICAL zoom, as opposed to lesser quality digital zoom but it has that too.
I would recommend it to anyone.

The ISO settings go from 50, good for daylight pictures to 1600 for use in dark conditions.


It takes an SD card for memory and a rechargeable battery ( extra ones about 拢20.00) worth getting for when away on holiday.
It took hundreds of pictures on fine quality on its first charge.

I would cry if anyone took it away from me.

Though one word of caution I have yet to print any of the
holiday pictures, but portraits I took of my grandchildren were fine.

so it might be worth asking in the camera shop to show you A4 prints of photos.

Luckily for you your 拢200 go a long way in todays competitive digital camera market!

I would suggest that you look into Canon's SD800 IS or perhaps the SD900 (smaller, more megapixels but no IS), or the larger Powershot A710 IS.

If you don't mind a bulkier camera you could look at the S3 IS or if you're willing to stretch your budget a little bit you can order the top of the line G7.

I've read that prices in the UK are usually higher (they are so in Mexico). I usually order my stuff from NY (Adorama and now B&H) and their service is top notch.

casio ez 850 it's a wicked camera
