I had an old camera and want to know how it compares with today's digital camera's?

it states it had 60 high resolution 120 standard. but doesn't give me mega pixels. what would this equate to? bought 10 years ago for a lot of money!!!

the new cameras are better than the old ones they hold more picture and are faster like the other guy said.

Here's some checks of proof ( Click back then go on http://www.uutx.com to get started)

new cameras are faster and better

Your camera is obsolete, buy a new one. They are cheaper and better, you can choose from a lot of marks.

It would not be possible to say without knowing the make & model. The 60 high / 120 standard refers to how many images it can store and this would depend on the memory size and the file compression.

I bought my first digi-cam about 7 years ago, it was a 1.3 megapixel. I would imagine yours is a lower res than this perhaps about 640x480 resolution, which by todays standards is very poor.

Needless to say I would imagine your 10 yr old camera is worthless now.

Your camera is probably better. Digital cameras are a royal pain.

How does it print? If you haven't upgraded by now, you're camera may be all you need. I would advise getting 5-6MP. You will find so many options that are packed with features that you're ancient camera doesn't have. Try a Canon A530 or A540 (both under $200) which use AA bateries. Or for a few $$ more, upgrade to a Canon SD600. You'll be amazed at the picture quality vs. your old camera.

60 high = 60 high resolution photos
120 low = 120 low res photos

No clue on how many MPs you have.

RUBBISH MAN

If its an old camera it may well be a lot less than a single megapixel - get yourself a good digital compact - A canon ixus (7Mp+)of some kind would be perfect for most uses - with that you could easily get 10x15 inch prints.

The new one I think its just over 10 megapixels.

Your camera is old, new cameras are new, you have low megapixels new cameras have high megapixels. Your camera is no longer worth a lot of money, new camera costs lots of money. 60 high 120 low would equate to half the number of pixels I bet.

no comparison! the digi is out there on its own //i have two ordinary cameras which i have used all around the world but they have now been retired to the box room never no doubt to ever be used again my 5 pixel is just great but your camera might be recoverable in cash i mean if a dealer should be interested in a few years from now
