Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced video editing program that works on MPEG format?

I run Windows 2000 and do not have a video card. I just want to do some simple editing of MPEG files generated with my digital camera. I don't want to spend a bundle.

Sony Vegas Movie Studio will work with mpeg files. About $120

If you don't have a video card how in the world do you plan on seeing what you are trying to edit.

Moviemaker is a free one, the rest cost money.

CyberLink MakeDVD 2 has a free trial. You might find a cheaper earier version. It creates photo slideshows and burns to disc.
