I was a late convert to digital with still pictures, now my wife and I are looking for a digital video camera. I would like to know how the numbers work as far as megapixels for the sensor and so on. I see a lot of different makes with different numbers but they don't always run concurrent with price so I'm getting a little confused. Also, the recording format, I see DVD, mini DVD, Memory cards and hard drives. We want something that will play back in a standard dvd player but, also be able to put on to the computer to make our own dvd's without any format conflicts. Thanks for any help!
