When I have a three hour lay over at the Nareta Tokyo airport, has anyone purchased a digital camera at a duty free shop at that airport, how are prices, or better off at Sams or WalMart? Yes, you are better off at SAMs or WAl Mart..
If you cannot get into Tokyo to purchase, skip the airport.. they are overpriced.
Everything in NArita is overpriced. The only thing I ever purchased was a kokeki doll for my daughter because I had forgotten to buy it in Tokyo. (I paid almost double for it)
The liquor and cosmetics in Narita is the same story.
I live in Korea, and many Koreans purchase here because it is cheaper or unavailable to them in Korea, due to lack of trade agreement, but for Americans, it is not a deal. depend on what kind of product, but i reccomment you should buy in tokyo, because airport every where is same thing,,,they sell for people on thr rush though, but digital camera i guaranty you if you buy in narita the price might a bit high but the product is perfect condition,MADE IN JAPAN remember that ! If you want to get a deal, go to Sam's. Airports always jack up the price of everything.
On the other hand, if you want to buy the newest coolest digital camera you could get it in Japan. However, electronics purchased in Japan and printed as "for sale in Japan only" are not covered by warranty in the USA. |
