Is this camera good ? HELP PLEASE?

Hi i have around 拢50 to spend on a digital camera, i dont want anything amazing, just a good camera with good qwuality pictures which i can have printed off.

So far for around that price i have found the Kodak CX740 would you reccomend this (http://www.amazon.com/kodak-easyshare-cx...

Also is a 4MP camera good enough ? just for regular holiday pictures etc

I don't know this particular model but kodak are completely great. I have a Kodak digital camera which is much better than previous cameras I owned. Don't forget you will want to have a memory card. The cameras usually have about 32mb memory but I use a 1gb memory card and on my last holiday - Spain-Portugal-Morocco - I took over 600 photos. Look on e-bay. You get some great bargains but be careful about buying from abroad - you amy have to pay customs duty. Look at the postal and insurance charges. My current camera cost about 拢85 and has 6 mega pixels. I wouldn't go for anything with less than 4 mega pixels. Kodak do sell refurbished cameras - ones which had a fault which meant the buyer sent it back and got a peplacement. Kodak then fix the fault and sell them off cheaper. Go to www.kodak.com and see if they have any bargains.Good luck.

Back in the day, I've used 3mp cameras to produce ad shots. This was before DSLR's cameras were cost effective. So, yes good enough for holiday pictures. Fifty pounds is a good price for that camera and I am sure you will like the photos you get.

Nikon L4 is about $100 (US DOLLARS) online at eBay or other locations, it's a pretty darned good camera, but I should have saved up and gotten a Canon! :)

If you do not plan to be going to printing large sizes OR editing the picture ie cropping and changing properites, then yes it is a good camera. 4MP is good enough for a 8X10 print but with no cropping or editing to the picture. Any of that and you reduce your resolution. I never had a good experience with Kodak however, cause I am a freak about picture quality (its a decent but not great). Thats why I saved up money for the Canon SD600, and SD700IS. They are wonderful cameras, I recommond you dont waste $100 on a camera but get at least a $200 one. Its just not worth going cheap.
