Which is better....a kodak easyshare or a sony cybershot digital camera?

what are the prices of each, and which one one is better with supporting detail and background info?

Sony. it has a Carl Zeiss lens and can be much more clearer. you can have all the mega pixels in the world but if you have a bad lens your pic aren't going to be all that great. I have a Sony and love it.


Kodak are popular because they are always under selling other brands, their always about $50 to $150 cheaper than other cameras. the older models have had a skin tone problem,, everybody skin was orange, but they fixed that. a few of my friends have Kodak's, one has the c533, and another just bought the c875 and their pictures turn out pretty good.

Sony would be better for detail and background because of the lens, Kodak's can sometimes have a fuzzy look to the pics. your basic Sony 6MP 3x opt zoom is around 250$ CDN and a higher model like the w100 is around$450. the Kodak c533 5.0 MP 3xopt zoom can be around 170$ cdn and the high model c875 8.0MP 5x opt zoom is around $350.

sony cybershot digital cam is defeinitely better... i have a sony and so happy with it... a canon digital cam is ok too... i think kodak is cheaper than sony and canon... get the sony..

In my opinion and from experience Sony makes the best cameras!

I have a canon and a kodak, both with dedicated photo printers. If you use it like that just to print 4x6 then both are very easy to use and picture quality is very good. The difference is when you want larger prints and accessories. The color is a bit saturated with the kodak but the canon is much more natural. This is printed at home and at your local walmart and walgreens. Kodak actually makes fairly good cameras for the money but canon has been in the "digital" camera far longer than kodak and been much more successful. I use my canon for more action shots and during summer months I use the underwater housing to shoot, you guest it, underwater. I use to like the sony brand when they came out in the early years, they were innovative and trusting. They even had a camera that saved photos on a floppy. But this past decade has hurt them. They have fallen behind in everything. Sales have fallen, creativity and innovation is non-existent, and corporate has been shifting/terminating people. The people who made the walkman a household word doesn't even have a decent mp3 out.
Either the canon brand or kodak brand will work for you if you are going to take general pictures, but I recommend the canon. You just can't beat them.
