What kind of digital camera do you suggest getting a teen?

Try to be with good features...good zoom and stuff, but also reasonablly priced.

I got the Canon Powershot A510 its very good, no complaints yet and ive had it for about 5 months now and used it very often. 3.2 MP, video with sound, automatic function, manual functions as well if the person is interested into that... and all that i got it for $160 in dec 2005.

Get a Kodak Easy Share. They are good cameras, and are very reasonably priced.

The Canon PowerShot range is pretty good- I got an A75 a few years ago and it's still working. The features are really easy to control but you can shoot manually if you really want, and it also makes films. I'm sure the range has come a long way since I bought the A75, but I would recommend the line.

I had an HP camera before and it was a piece of junk. It broke three times and had to be sent in for repair three times in 18 months. The fourth time it broke I just threw it out.
