My advise when buying electronics product in Singapore is to avoid Sim Lim Shopping Center if you are not familiar with the country or culture.
The only place with variety and trusted vendors are at Funan Shopping Centre.
The locals will most probably recommend these 2 places, but if you are an unsuspecting foreigner go for Funan.

There are lots of camera (and consumer electronics) stores on Levels 1 & 2. (Level 3 & above are shops selling computers & peripherals).
For me - the best shop is Alan Photo (its on Level 1, you cannot miss it). They give the best price as well as world class service (with a big big smile). And of course, excellent product knowledge. |
