Which digital camera is worth my $?

As far as quality, features, and price.....and if you can could you post links, or tell me specific brand names and model # so I can look ti up myself? Thank you and any help is apperciated.

Canon is the best in my opinion.

I am begginer and I have a Nikon Digital. Great price and all.

Canon will have the best overall quality. They are small and thake excellent pictures. You can't go wrong with a Canon at the $400 and below range.

It's a well known and respected site that has reviews, buying guides, side-by-side comparisons, educational resources and so on.

For a higher level treatment of photography, may I suggest http://www.photo.net.

You can go round and round with people's opinions on cameras, lenses, etc, but it comes down to your knowledge level, personal preferences, budget, and a few actual facts.

If you really want to know, I like Canon vs. Nikon, and currently have a Canon EOS 30D.

Canon are nice and easy to use,, I have an older one,, but with the prices coming down I would probably tell you to buy the ultra compact one,like the Casio Exilim EX-Z850 , slip in the pocket just nicely....

What features do you want your camera to have? 10x Optical Zoom? Wi-Fi? Red Eye Reduction? Fast start up? Rapid Shutter Response? Powerful & Accurate Flash? Preset Autoexposure Modes? Built-in Help Features?

You can't get an accurate answer with a vague question. |It's like asking which career is the best to pursue... we need more information.
If you can pick at least three features that are critically important to you (i.e., your camera must have them), then set a maximum price, then we can make a qualified recommendation. Otherwise, you might as well ask "Who's the best musical group in history?" All you will get is personal preferences, not accurate evaluations.
What doyou want out of your camera? You're buying for you, not us. We need more input from you to help you out.

In my opinion there are 2 brands of digital cameras worth looking at. The Sony Cybershot series and the Canon's Powershot series. Within it they have several to choose from. Features for features they are pretty competitive. The distinguish difference is the battery. Canon uses generic double A, Sony uses their proprietary batteries. Personally I prefer Sony.
