My favorite site for digital cameras is www.dpreview.com It talks about the cameras and gives features and lets users rate them. It also shows different websites that have it available and how much they are at each site.

Whenever I'm looking for something electronic, the first place I look is Newegg.com. I have done business with them before and I trust them. And they have just about EVERYTHING. So it's at least a good place to start.

For a digital camera, I would go to Best Buy or Circuit City (or, if you live in California, Fry's Electronics), where I could actually see the camera and hold it in my hands. Some cameras just -feel- better than others, are easier to handle. But once I decided what I want, I might buy it over the Internet if I could save some money.

Also if you get down to a choice between more than one model, go to dpreview.com. You can download test shots from any camera and zoom in and see how clear and sharp they are. There are surprising differences between even cameras with the same megapixels.
