What is a good digital camera for someone who isn't quite a beginner anymore?

I've been working with digital photography for about a year, and the camera I have is really basic, and there are some features that I really want to have to work with.

-adjustable shutter speed
-stop motion mode
-video clips with sound
-at least 5.0 mega pixels
-a good photo editing program

Does anyone have any suggestions for what kind of camera would be good for me.

By the way... I'd like it to be in the 200-250 dollar price range

Either the Canon A710 IS or the Canon A630.
Both have manual controls. The A710 IS has image stabilizer, 6 X optical zoom, 7 megapixels. The A630 has 4X optical, 8 megapixels and is excellent on battery life.
Also consider one of the two cameras I own. The Fuji E900. 4X optical zoom, 9 megapixels and also has manual controls.

I have a great one by kodak that I bout for 150. thats 7mp, ect.
Im a photographer so that was a great buy.

Try going for the Canon G-series range. My brother has a G6 and it has a dial that can adjust the aperture and shutter speed at a fly. Its outdated now though.
i don't think many digital cameras will come with a GOOD photo editing program.

You got to get one yourself. Try Adobe Photoshop CS3 or CS2 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.

Try looking for a camera witch has a dial that can adjust the aperture and shutter. But it will be very hard to find and probraly are only located in dSLRs. Or, if your up for it you can still buy a Canon G6 online for around your price range.
