What are the best digital cameras priced under $250.00 dollars? In this price range, if you're looking for an ultra-compact, I would recommend the Canon SD 450, which still retails for about $300, but if you check for Dell stackable coupons on bargain sites such as passwird.com and techbargains.com, you should be able to pick this camera up for $200 to $225. It comes in a small package with 3x optical zoom, 5 megapixels and a big 2.5" LCD screen. Although other manufacturers have caught up to Canon's quality ultra compacts over the past couple of years, they've been putting out great cameras in this segment for years. I have their original S110 (2 megapixels) and the SD 450. Still use and like them both. I just got a Kodak Easyshare at Best Buy for $150. Depends on what you need it to do! It only has 16MB internal memory, so I have to buy a $30 memory card for it. Hope this helps! At this price the technology between makes will be the same. You should be able to get 3X optical zoom and 5 megapixels. A key feature to look for is generic (e.g. AA or AAA) batteries. Batteries can be more costly than the SD or Compact Flash card. Internal memory capacity is not important since no camera has enough for more than a few pix. http://reviews.cnet.com/4566-6501_7-0.ht... |
