*SoulEyes Photography>>>Digital Camera Price

If price were no object, which DIGITAL camera would you recommend to a skilled photographer? Why?

How old am I?

I turned 49 TODAY.

if money were no issue, you'll be well served by a Canon 5D. You can buy all kinds of Canon L class lenses and a flash. It will provide great photo quality and isn't as heavy or big as some of the professional cameras.

you can do some comparisons at www.dpreview.com

Canon Rebel.
at 12.7 Megapixels you wont miss anything....
but costs about 6k

I WIL NOT BY IT AND KEN YOU PLEAS TEL ME YOU OLT AR YOU

If price were no object??? I'd get a Hasselblad H2D 39. That's a 39 megapixel, $35,000 digital medium format camera that takes the highest quality pictures on the market.

If you're talking 35mm equivalents, Canon's 1ds Mark II is a massive performer and doesn't have any equals (Nikon's products don't even come close). It shoots at 16 megapixels and is considered a professional camera.

Both of these cameras are generally used by professionals and require A LOT of processing power from your computer, coupled with more storage space than you can shake a stick at.

Otherwise, I'd look at the Canon 5D. This is an awesome, full format camera. It runs around $3,000 with a so so lens.

Oh and Canon's Digital Rebel XT does not cost $6,000, unless you buy it with a $5,000 lens. It also only shoots at 8 megapixels, not 12. For an 8 megapixel camera, look into the Canon 30D.

Yes, sure.
It is 10 times faster and few times cheaper in years, you can do your job at home with no lab. The printers are affordable and they have good quality now er days.
Do not fall for the price of the camera, if you are experienced go see first the price of the lenses, if you already have a 35 mm camera, you may want to use the lenses you already have around, so go for that camera, both Nikon and Canon do great cameras lately. In my opinion Nikon's are sharper and with a lot of lines/mm (that's why).
But this is a long subject.
Next thing will be about resolution, I will go for more, better than less.

I have a NIKON D70 an love it. I know there are more expensive ones... but it's great!
Thanks,
Dan

I only agree with largegrass on the Hasselblad but the Nikon has far superior image quality than a Canon.
But Canon are more user friendly, faster and quieter lenses.
The Canon EOS 5D is certainly not better than a Nikon D200 for quality of image.

I prefer Fuji 6 mega pixel and higher because Fuji is a good brand (its also the brand of film I buy) and you can enlarge pic to over 11 x 17 and not see the pixels

the canon 5D because it has a full framed sensor and a 12 megapixel image.
