Two of the "better" cameras always have that damn delay when you push the button to take the picture and a lot of the time you miss the shot. The other camera is just a basic one. I'm looking for something that when you aim and push the button it takes the damn picture without all the hesitation crap. Any advice on a good choice of camera? Thanks in advance to all who answer. I love the Canon PowerShot SD600 6MP Digital Elph Camera with 3x Optical Zoom.
Pros: It is very compact, fits in your pocket!, Does not hesitate in taking a picture right away (ISO 800 shooting)! With 6 MP, it provides a high resolution image that looks wonderful when printed out. It is under $300 "Shutter lag" delays have been a problem for digital cameras. The problem is the time needed for autofocus and auto exposure setting. (We all want pretty and sharp pics!!)
The manufacturers have been working to shorten the shutter lag, and many of the new models are significantly faster.
Still d-SLRs are the fastest. However, the cost, size, and inconvenience of removable lenses makes them a bad choice for many people.
I suggest that you go to a good camera store and get their advice on the fastest cameras in your price and choice ranges. There are so many models of different size and capabilities that it is very difficult to recommend one that would meet your needs.
For myself, I like the Sony W-series or Canon A-series for a small camera. And the Sony H-series or Canon S-series for a bigger long telephoto camera.
Good Luck I've been very happy with the Fujifilm Finepix F10. I've never timed it, but the lag was never noticeable to me, even in very low light. (I bought it for its low light capabilities.) |
