I need help with yard sale pricing....? |
I have several clothing items, dishes, pots and pans, a couch, an oversized chair, a digital camera (older but works great) as well as some odds and ends. I live in the off El Cajon before La Mesa...can anyone please give me some pointers? furniture and bigger items you can go $20-$40 probly, for clothes and stuff I usually just make it all $1 a piece. I usually stick to the dollar range for everthing. BE REASONABLE WITH YOUR PRICING. YOU WANT THE ITEMS TO SELL. take a look at your item an imagine ,,,how much you would pay for it. Have you looked in your community news paper/flyer and seen other pricing "for sale items"? How about taking a trip to your local flea market, it's basically the same principle , only your selling on your front lawn. Remember take into account the age of the product, availability ie; flea market, dollar store, etc, and the community. When I say community, I mean where does most of the people in your neighborhood shop? On a regular basis? Do you have a Dollar Store, Salvation Army, Wal-Mart in your area? They are competition. Ask yourself about your neighbors..What would they be willing to pay, what would you be willing to pay? It's better to negotiate and get rid of an item, than hang on to it and not make any money. Good Luck, and have fun. I usually put down what I would pay for something and I am cheap |
