Can Target look back at their cameras?

Me and my friend stole an iPod from target and got away with it. Now my only concern is them being able to go back and look at the film and see us. I don't want to know if they will do anything about it, my only question is can they review tapes from months ago?

I don't think you did the right thing anyways. Stealing? That is not cool. I think you should return it. What you did was unjust and cruel.

Of course they can. With today's technology, they can keep years of video archives.

Whats gonna happen is during a nightly/weekly/monthly audit, they are gonna notice that there is an unnaccounted for ipod. With their inventory system, they will be able to pick the exact day when it went missing. They will then review the video footage to see exactly when it dissapeared.

Id be real surprised if you truly get away with it.

Stealing from a large chain such as Target is frankly stupid. They gots the money to hunt you down.

Yes they can BUT the question is, Will they want to spend time watching the camera? First, they didn't know the time the ipod was stolen and if they decided to watch the camera, they dont know where to start haha... and second, why would you and your friend be that.. un-thoughtful? Stealing can ruin your life . . . just a concern not a lesson for you ...

shops generally never look at there tapes unless there is reason to suspect something happened. e.g you do it again and get caught, then they'll look at the tapes to see how many times you've done it

Yes they can it is all stored on a computer and they can pull it up anytime they want but the chances are slim to none that they will even try. Just don't do it again.

Yes they can. I am sure you are very aware that was a very stupid thing to do. people who do that make stores raise prices. not fair to us honest people who pay for things with our hard earned money.
