Question about Camera shutter lag?

Well, I posted a question about shutter speed earlier, and was told to look up shutter lag for cameras. So I have a camera in mind (Sony Cybershot W120) and I've been trying to find the shutter lag speed, when I finally read about it in a review. Great review, but it said the shutter lag was 0.4 seconds and I have no clue whether that's fast or not.

Most of the pictures that I take are usually friends. But I'm a huge volleyball player, so I take a good amount of, I guess you can call it, action shots.

Could someone please tell me whether this camera would be a good fit for my needs. Thanks!

The shutter lag of 0.4 seconds is probably including focus time. If you have pre-focused (half pressed the shutter button) first, the shutter lag will usually be around 0.1 seconds.
