Is it a waste of money to buy the Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman?

Lots of people are saying that their keys split in half, is this gonna happen to me?? I'm a huge texter and people are saying that this is not a good phone if you are. Also, people say that the camera and memory is terrible on this phone, which is bad cuz I use my phone for taking pictures all all the time!!! I really like this phone cuz it looks super cool and sounds awesome, but there are good reviews and bad reviews on it! Which should I believe?? Is this the wrong phone for me???

Also, if i'm not up for an upgrade, how much would this phone cost if I decide to get it?

If the keys split in half just take the cell back. The camera is about as good as it gets in a cell. The memory is great. If you don't like the memory, get a new memory card. There are good and bad reviews on anything! There are like a ton of people that go to my school that have this. The pictures look crisp and clean. The keys are great for texting. Bottom line is this phone is cool and good and if you don't like it, just make sure you save your receipt and the box and accessories in came with and take it back.

yes this is the wrong phone for you.
There is a known issue with the keys cracking, ATT will replace it thru the warranty program since its a known issue NOT physical damage!
My son had this phone for 2 weeks and cracked 2 keys hes a heavy texter upwards of 15,000 msg is average for him monthly. He returned the phone and switched to a Shine and LOVED it. Once he got used to the flat keypad.... LOL
That phone you can do music on and everything just no walkman.

Picture this... a Sexy phone with 2.0 mega pixel camera rhinestones between the keys slim slide phone..... now picture this being Sony... but hey atleast they call it a Walkman for a reason it has a build in FM Radio tuner. Free just a build in feature of the phone, a plus....

But then your keys fall apart.... they will replace it but will you be easier on them next time? If you like to text get the LG Shine it is actually cheaper anyways.... if not go for it Sony puts out quality merchandise.

i have this phone and they do split in half very bad phone do not get it.

no it is a good phone at my store we sell them very quickly and everything on them are good and they have all differnt kinds of colors (pink, black, and white)
