Is the vcam now 2.0 good for a 13-year-old?

Im 13 years old and I have been looking for a video camera, but the cheapest one I could find was about 100 bucks. So I saw my friend with the vcam now 2.0, so I researched it and found some reviews but half of them say that it sucks and the other half say that it's amazing... I'm not sure which to believe and I was wondering if it is anygood. PLEASE HELP ME!
