Opinion on the new iPhone 3G?

Alright, I have AT&T service which I love, but the phone that I have was one of the free ones and is pretty much a piece of crap. I am interested in getting the new 3G but have heard mixed reviews.

What do you think? Is it worth it? How well does the navigational system work? Camera? Overall ease of use? Any reviews are appreciated!

i think its okay but their are some pros and cons about your question. the iphone 3g doesnt have some features like the flash for the camera. you should go to youtube.com for reviews because other people have iphone 3gs and i thought it was helpfull. they tell you everything that they like and disklike about it and what they want apple to improve on for the future iphones

No its no good. You can't text pictures, you can't record video, its hard and dull to text on the virtual QWERTY. Speaker and GPS were weak, no mobileTV, noATT services, too itunes centric, browser dosen't have flash and nither does the crappy camrea,no bluetooth, no built in FM radio. its just 3G with slightly better GPS, and even then its still crap. Don't get it, get the LG Dare.

I think that is the bomb. Because the 3G is actually MORE expensive then the first one because of the plans and stuff.

And they had all the systems shut down because people couldn't install the 3G at home.

it is worth it if u are rich.the qualities are perfect and navigation is good onli that u nid a qualified operator to 'unlock' ur phone to use worldwide

Simple! NO!!!

It depends on what you're wanting out of a phone. If you've used an iPod, a phone, and a planner, it'll be great for you. There's no Telenav for it (yet), but you'd have web access to Mapquest, so it'll probably do until Telenav gets in the game.

If you're just wanting to have a phone with text and camera, just get a regular phone..it's probably not worth all the extra add-ons (esp charges). I CAN say that if you want web, AT&T's regular web SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS and is not worth the money--so don't waste your money on web unless it's iPhone :)

Be aware, though, unless you're at the end of your contract, you're going to get reamed on the price for a new phone (this goes for any carrier, pretty much). You might want to check eBay or a local second-hand store.
