Gifts for Employees?? What do you want to receive this year?

We already are doing the following:

- Christmas Party in early December(dinner theater comedy show, guest invited)
- Cash bonus
- $20 Gift card for their favorite grocery store (in lieu of turkeys, we don't get a great response when we give turkeys anymore)
- Hallmark ornament customized to their personal hobbies
- Custom snowman wall plaque (www.familysigns.com)
- Rainy Day Fund jar with a $50 gift card inside to their favorite store
- Continental Breakfast on 12/22

Not sure what else to give them. We always give gift baskets full of something. One year it was a breakfast theme with about $100 worth of stuff in it and a gift card. One year we did digital cameras. We thought this year we'd do 5-6 gifts around $10-20 each for each employee and hand them out one at a time (sort of "santa" style) under the tree. We only have 8 employees so it is managable.

Any ideas? We want to keep it personalized & useful for everyone - most employees are in their 40s or 50s.

a cash bonus

Wow! This is a lot already! Last year, my company just fed us daily, at work, for an entire week. There's about 500 employees in a town of 22,000 so there's not a lot of rental place options.

Can I work for you?!!!! Wow, I was just hoping for a little respect, but I would take anything on your list. WOW! I'd say that was plenty!!!!!!!!

I like the Rainy Day fund jar idea. Useful and fun.

Last year my boss gave out frames with 'inspirational' posters in them. I was so insulted because I felt like she was trying to tell me my shortcomings. Gift cards are a much better idea.

Our company gives $500.00 gift cards to the Westfield Shopping Town. That's good because they have Westfield Malls in many many states. No matter if you are at home or on a vacation, you can use it. Malls have stores for everyone, male and female.

Geez...Can I work for you?? How about gift baskets w/ a spa theme this year? Everyone could use a little relaxation around holidays...

i wouldn't know. at my work we don't do that. we get a family that needs the stuff more than we do.

actually i think there are enough gifts and if you are feeling generous, just increase the cash bonus =)

That's a lot already, but honesty I think that emplyees would rather recieve cash or gift certificates from their employers rather than more personallized gifts. it is a nice gesture but everyone looks forward to that extra bonus at xmas and if you in the postition that you can give your emplyees a lot, do it in $$

give them what everyonr REALLY wants ... time off!!
