i want to buy a digital camera but some people are telling me to buy a camera that supports the SD memory card, but the camera (Sony cybershot T200) that i want only supports Memory Stick.... My question is does it matter which memory card the cameras support????...and also do the machines that are in stores(?kiosk?), where you put your memory card and choose which pictures you want to print.....do those machines accept only SD or only Memory Stick or do they accept all types of memory cards?????
thnx I'm not a big fan of Sony peripherals because of their proprietary reliance on Memory Stick. First of all, there are about 10 different kinds of MS, and each type is not necessarily compatible with each device. Second, if you decide to purchase another brand of camera, you may as well throw the MS in the trash -- no other brand supports it.
You're better off looking into a camera that supports SD technology, or at least CompactFlash. Look into brands like Canon, Panasonic, and Olympus -- they'll all give you suitable bang for your buck, and allow for the greatest amount of expansion. |
