Seagate 320GB 7200RPM 16MB Buffer Hard Drive
LiteON 16x Lightscribe Saw bare drive black + SW
Inno3D 8500GT 256Mb PCI-Express graphics card
500W True Power Silent ATX PSU
Windows XP

Thanks

well I'm not sure about everything being compatible but it would be a waste of money to get a graphics card like that... you only neeed a 128MB one... XP - good choice coz I don't recomend Vista

I think that spec is just fine for what you want to do with it

Looks good for a start. I would up the memory to 2GB if you can afford it. It will work better for editing pictures. Is that the best video card you can get? The more memory on the video card the less the system needs to display graphics. Good luck.

I think it look pretty good - I also agree you will benefit from a 2GB memory, and a fast graphic cards.

My only thoughts concern the large hard drive - do you want to keep all the video on there - what if it crashes? You can get some pretty good external hard drives, and it may be an idea to invest in one for back-up...

How much are you spending on it? Give your configuration to Carbonfrost. They will give you a cheaper price on it plus service and warranty and best of all you won't have to build it yourself.
