Took a pregnancy test and there was a barely-there positive result? Am I pregnant?

I just took a First response early results test and I got a positve but barely. I had to hold it to the light to even see the line. I did read it before 10 minutes so I dont think it was an evap. line....i dont know! Maybe it was. I took a picture with my digital camera and if can see a line too. What do you guys think? I think I am going to go to the store and get a digital test that says "pregnant" or "not pregnant". Im also not due for my period til thursday.

Oh and I had the fiance look at it too. He is skeptical of me being prego...that is until he saw the line too. So i know Im not going crazy!! :)

If there is a line visable (even faintly) then, you are pregnant! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Wait until you go to the bathroom for the first time in the morning, and take another test. As the days go by, the line should be darker... it might take another few days for a DARK line... but I would guess you are pregnant!

There is a very strong possibility. I would wait till the morning to take another one though. Your pregnancy hormone is higher in your first morning's urine.

Or you can make a doctors appointment.

Get a new test, and maybe run that one again?

Yeah, those faint positives will make ya crazy. I had at least one or two of them before we tried the digital one, which really simplified things for me. Our son is 19 months old now. :)

Congrats! You're most likely prego!!! I had faint postives with both of my children :) I think I found out when I was only around 2 weeks prego with both of mine so I've always had to have the doctors confirm.

You had a very faint positive because your period is not due yet but the test was able to pick up enough of the HCG hormone to read pregnant- any sort of a line is a pregnancy.

I think you need to go and get a digital test instead of hurting your eyes by trying to create a line.
If you are pregnant there would be a faint line that is very very light. I would wait a couple more days and take a DIGITAL test, do a clearblue easy. I had a faint pink line and took a digital and it said "pregnant"!
I know how hard it is when you want to be pregnant, I think we all create lines by staring at just the right angle.
Take another test and then let us know the results.
Also, maybe you could post the picture and we could all give our opinion.

Yes, you should get a digital test. Then you will not have any question on what the result is.

Most likely you are. The test picks up on the hormones in your urine, so usually even if you cant see the line very well, but its there, your pregnant. BUT tests also can be false positives, so you never know for sure untill your doctor confirms it. Or take another home test if you get a second positive you more than likely pregnant

yes it sounds like you are. don't go get a digital one they are not the best. they give the most faulty results either way. what you should do it take another one first thing in the morning like the test says. i took it in the morning and got great results. try that. your urine gets deluted throughout the day. it has more pregnancy hormones in it in the morning.

If I were you, I'd take another one.
When I checked mine, it was a 'barely there' positive (First Response, there was a faint second pink line next to the first one that indicated it was working). I wasn't sure if it was positive or not since the second pink line that would indicate 'positive' wasn't very dark. I took another one, and the second pink line was a little brighter. If you take another one, and your still not sure, wait a couple of days or even a week, that way your hcg levels (the pregnancy hormones) are higher.
