This person spilled beer on my camera and now whenever I turn it on, the screen is just black. Everything else is still working fine. My dad said that it mostlikely means that the CCD is broken. I went to the store to ask to get it fixed, but they won't do it. Is there a way to find the part so I can fix it myself? If you can still take picture with it, the CCD is fine. And most likely the LCD is damage. How long you have this camera? If it still under warranty, contact Sony and have it ship back for repair. If not, I don't think it worth to send for repair as getting a new one will be cheaper. They don't sell parts for compact digital cameras or any kind of digital camera since repairing it yourself is not recommended. If you really really really want to try to fix it yourself, try find the same one on ebay and use it as parts. |
