what is the price of digital cameras in dubai now??

For example if I have about 1000 dhms, can I get a good one?? How many Mega pixels will it be?? Is there any website for a store in Dubai where I can check the prices there??

yes dear 4 sure u could get some digital camera worth Dhs1000/- i'll personaly recommend to go for PANASONIC, the reason 4 this is tht there r still some models which r orignally from JAPAN. and their picture quality is also good. other than this u could try OLYMPUS, i've found it as well a very nice one. and u could get within ur price range.
one suggestion i would give u is this tht instead of browsing through the net, it's better u go and check them physically, coz most of the time on net they r discribing general features and most important thing would b it's shape/designing as per ur convinience. it's buttons and it's actual quality. in dubai............. sorry i'm not in condition to mention where u could get good price, but in abu-dhabi if u r interested i could guide u a bit.

I bought a Canon 10 mega pixel camera in the Duty free shop in Dubai. It seemed like a good deal at the time (about 1800 dhm), but I found it cheaper on the Internet when I got back to the U.S. and I have to use a converter to charge it with the charger that came with it.

You may be able to get a better deal at the malls ( Deira Central City Mall, for example). However, I did not see any really good deals on common consumer items.

oh my gosh! u can , they have alot goin on sale right now from 500- and up, i bought a panasonic lumix the other day, comes with all full options memory card, carrying case from carrefour for 799! it used to be 899, but it got discontinued now they made a better updated one to compete with the others, you can also go to the souk il islami in sharjah they have cheaper ones then the malls and camera booths
