find deals in stores like adorama.com or bhphotovideo.com or even amazon and ebay. straight orders from the product sites would not come with discounts and other freebies that you can get from an official dealers.

No, specially for a consumer camera. Try amazon for a consumer brand, but for professional, try BHphotos.

Also BH does sell some consumer models, their just limited.

Don't buy a sony device. That is the company that put the virus on their music cd's and infected millions of computers.

They deserve to be punished for that.

You will almost always do better on line than in store! Try EBay, and see what you can find. Tiger Direct is another site to check. It does pay to shop around!

My mom bought hers from overstock.com for a great price, and that was almost 3 years ago, it works fine.

After sales service will ALWAYS be better from a store. So if you have any problems/issuse or questions with the camera you can give them a call and actually talk to someone.
