Digital camera recomendation?

Summer concert season is here and I need a new digital camera. My old one is not cutting it anymore.
Can someone recommend a digital camera that has a good mega pixel (around 7), has a decent zoom and most importantly..will take the photo without delay.
I want to spend no more than $200.
Are those camera's without delay super expensive? It's hard to shop for those because I haven't come across one advertising itself without delay and the kids working at the electronic stores aren't 100% reliable.

well the guy above isnt too sure what he is talking about. I dont know that website so im not goin to comment on that. Basically, with point and shoot cameras, the delay time is never measured like an slr. Canons have the fastest response time among the point and shoot cameras. however, the 800is is not only an older model canon, but it is also $400! i recomened either the canon 1000 or 750 which go from about 250 - 300 , or if you are really passonate about not spending that much money, then go with a sony w55. all the cameras mentioned have about 7 megapixels and 3x zoom. a lot of zoom is hard to come by with inexpensive cameras unless you are willing to have AA batteries instead of rechargeables. Good luck, and go to Best Buy, they know what they are talking about better then some of the other places.

go to shutterbug.com or cnet.com and compare similar cameras in your price range to see the one that fits you best.you can also read reviews to see what others say about it.

Canon 630

There is no compact camera on the market with little shutter delay, they're all slow. However, I believe the SD800 IS from Canon is quite fast in performance.
As for Cnet, I would read their reviews, but not trust them. They are very biased towards and against certain brands, and their information is not entirely reliable.

I am sure of what I'm talking about. When I say that "there is no compact camera on the market with little shutter delay", I meant little as in DSLR little, which, I should've specified. My point is, no compact on the market has shutter delay as little as a DSLR.
Also, the 800IS isn't that old. It's less than a year old. I recommended the 800IS because it is fairly fast by compact camera standards.
