Can any one tell me a good store that i can talk to some one about a new digital camera?

Where they will be helpful... I live in Ventura County thanks!

Best Buy & Circuit City seem to have knowledgable staff.

Try some on-line sites to supplement your visit to a store. Couple of things to consider:

portability
print size: 4x6, 5x7, 8x10
purpose: casual or professional use
type of photos: candid, portrait, landscape
level of experience with digital cameras
cost

I wouldn't bother with Best Buy or Circuit City. When you hire a bunch of teenagers and there is no commission involved, there is no guarantee of the quality of their answers.

You would be better off hitting a camera specialty store. Ritz Camera and National Camera Exchange are all over the place and will have people more versed in the knowledge of cameras.

However, the absolute best place to go would be a mom and pop shop. These places are their for your business. They will bend over backwards for it all while giving you great and solid information.

You can get the best info on the internet....I would suggest a Kodak Easy Share camera because with the docking station, it's so easy to get your pictures on the computer and it has good software to fix your photos. CNET is a good site or do a google for top digital cameras.
