Has anybody ever bought a digital camera from the Dollar General Store or Big Lots?

What kind of cameras do they have and how much are they? Are they good? Their websites dont have anything listed.

I haven't but those places generally carry overstock goods so you can get quality stuff there, so if they had a good one at a good price I would. Most of the time they don't advertise what they have cause all the stores carry different things.

Just two days ago I almost bought a digital camera at dollar general, it was only 15 dollars. I decided to think about it and ask my brother what he thought first.

At our local Dollar General, they have a polaroid for 75.00. It looks like an older camera, but I haven't paid much attention. I just upgraded my old (cheap) digital camera to a Canon S3 IS (349.00 at Walmart) and believe me, you definately get what you pay for. My suggestion is that if you can wait and save up for a nicer camera with a few more features, do it. It is money well spent. Also, Best buy has some great cameras starting at 99.00, with a very knowledgeable staff. They were able to answer all my questions, just didn't have what i wanted.
