I want a digital back for my nikon f2 or my olympus om-1 but cant seem to find any?

for those of you who dont know what a digital back is it is an accesory that fits on the back of a film camera and stores the pictures digitaly making it a digital camera.

i have a nikon f2 and an olympus om-1 and i also ahve a digital camera but i wanted to make my film cameras digital.
bu i cant seem to find any digital backs for a nikon f2 or olympus om-1.

i know that there are tons oy backs for hasselblads and maymias but some people dont have the luxory of 10,000 dollars just lying around so if any one can help with finding a back for one of my cameas it would be greatly appreciated.

oh and there are data backs and other back that just change the color of the film or just stamps the film with a time on it.

However, for the $3000 price tag, you can get a Nikon D300 or be on your way to a D2x or D3.

Remember, besides the physical back, you have a digital camera designed with fully integrated controls for the digital format.

No such thing. It isn't practical. I've only heard of one company which attempted to produce a 35mm digital back, Siliconfilm, but it seems (from reading the link below) now that it was all an investment scam. They haven't produced anything for the public to see and haven't been heard from in years.

Leica, on the other hand, made a digital back for its R-series SLRs but as far as I know it isn't compatible with anything else (it's also over $5,000).

I think the best course for you is to simply buy a good DSLR which would give you more flexibility than any digital back and buy lens mount adapters so you can use your existing OM and Nikkor lenses on your new DSLR body. All of this would probably cost less than a digital back.
