Will the store I work for be suied?

A few weeks ago a little boy fell. His mom and dad were ticked. Their was a spill that we failed to clean. They were saying that his son could have been killed. The ground was wet because the box had broken beer. They said that his son was cut, but when beaty and employee at our company went to pick up the beer case to throw it away, she said she didn' see any glass. The camera also showed the mom leaning on the son, like trying the set the store up for a lawsuite. The kid was also climbing and standing on the cart and the parents weren't paying attention. After the boy fell they were like, we have to go to the hospital, so my question is, does the store I work for have a good defense?

There was a recent case involving a man suing a grocery store because he slipped on a grape that was on the floor in the produce section and hurt his back. He lost the case because the court ruled that the customer had failed to demonstrate that the store had been negligent. The store showed that they had a regular routine of checking the aisles once per hour looking for any spills. This showed due diligence on their part. Second, nobody had reported the spilled grapes to the staff so they had no reasonable way of knowing that the grapes were on the floor. Lastly, the court decided that there was an assumption of liability when you walk through the produce section because a reasonable person should expect the possibility of spilled fruit and watch where they walk.
If you knew about the spill and failed to clean it up or post a warning then you are liable.
If you did not know about the spill, but you also do not have a routine of checking for spills then you are liable.
Otherwise, you are not liable. Your defense would be that you meet or exceed the requirements of due diligence, you had not been notified of the spill, and the customer has an assumption of liability.

The store will probably be sued, but with the camera footage as evidence it will either get thrown out or they won't get much.

You should have at least put out a wet floor sign, but if he's not really hurt they can't sue for damages that never happened. But if you can prove any injuries that did occur were caused or made worse by the mom leaning on him she could be arrested for fraud and harming a minor.

If there was no major injury, then most likely they will be OK. They may have to pay some medical bills or something. But most stores have cameras these days so it's very difficult to make up stories.

The store probably will be sued.
